Local Housing Finance Corporations

provide a LOCAL focus on LOCAL housing needs

To meet their missions HFCs provide programs needed in their communities, which may include:

Low interest mortgage products for First Time Homebuyers (resulting from tax-exempt bond financing or the issuance of Mortgage Credit Certificates)
Down Payment & Closing Cost Assistance
Financing for quality multifamily homes for working families
Homebuyer fairs
Credit Counseling, Homebuyer Education, and Financial Literacy Classes
Partnering with other providers to build community facilities for area children
Build Infill housing
Assist other agencies in times of disaster
Home Rehabilitation programs
Many other activities to assist in the provision of safe, decent, and affordable housing in their communities
